Bolan Clinic has been making skincare, hair care and cosmetics in Pakistan for over ten years. This page explains how we think about quality — what we control, what we tell you, and what we will not claim.
Sourcing
Quality is decided long before a product reaches a bottle. Before we work with a supplier, we look at their background, their track record and their consistency — not just the price of a single consignment. A supplier who can deliver one good batch is not the same as a supplier who can deliver the same batch every time.
Where an ingredient is available from several sources, we compare samples rather than assuming they are interchangeable. Growing conditions, harvest timing and processing method all change what an ingredient actually does on skin and hair.
Formulation
An active ingredient only works at the right concentration, at the right pH, in a base that keeps it stable. A serum with a well-known active on the label but the wrong formulation around it does very little.
Where the concentration matters to the result, we put it on the label and on the product page — for example 2% salicylic acid in our Blemish Control Face Wash and 6% ascorbic acid in our Vitamin C serum. A number you can check is more useful than a claim you cannot.
Production
Our products are filled, labelled and dispatched from our own facility in Lahore. Keeping this in-house means we control batch handling, packaging and storage rather than relying on a third party to do it to our standard.
What we tell you, and what we will not claim
Cosmetics can genuinely improve how skin and hair look, feel and behave. They are not medicines, and we think you are better served by a brand that is clear about the difference.
-
We publish ingredients and directions so you can judge a product for yourself and check it against anything else you are using.
-
We do not promise cures. Our products are cosmetics. If you have a skin or scalp condition, a dermatologist will help you more than a product page will.
-
We do not promise instant results. Skin turnover and hair growth take weeks. Most skincare needs 4 to 8 weeks of consistent use before it can be judged fairly; hair concerns usually take 8 to 12.
-
We say when something is not for everyone. Exfoliating acids and other strong actives are not suitable for every skin type, and we would rather tell you that than sell you the wrong product once.
Using our products safely
Patch test before first use of anything new: apply a small amount to the inner forearm and wait 24 hours. Introduce one new product at a time, so that if something does not agree with you, you know which product it was. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, taking medication or managing a skin condition, speak to your doctor before starting a new active.
If a product ever arrives in a condition you are not happy with, tell us within 48 hours and we will replace or return it. Our Return and Exchange Policy sets out how.
